**Monika Aufdermauer, Director, Customer and Marketing Operations, August Home:** Using the August Home products, you're able to really control access to your home. So, you don't have to leave physical keys out anymore. You can actually control that access in a more secure fashion.

August Home is consumer electronics, and you know, we're in a very competitive industry, and a differentiator is definitely how our customers are treated.

So we do use two different levels of support. We have both in-house agents. So we have agents that are here in our office in San Francisco, and then we augment our support using Infolink.

You know, one of the challenges is as we're growing and we're adding new products to our product lineup, we always need to increase staffing when we're announcing new products, and Infolink is able to do that.'

As we go through seasonality, we need to bump it up just a little bit extra, and then we come down a little bit as we come out of the holiday season.

Because they have staff that's already trained and able to come on at a moment's notice, it makes it really easy for us to bring people on, have them support our customers, and give our customers a great experience.

We right now have about a 93% customer satisfaction rate with the interactions that Infolink has with the customer support team.

I would definitely recommend info link to any team, especially a growing team. They're really great to start out with if you have a small number. I think we started with less than 10 agents there, and they grow really, really well.

It's one of the best teams that I've worked with as far as their ability to start so small and also grow to be a rather large team.

About This Video

August Home makes smart locks and consumer electronics — the kind of product where customer treatment is a real competitive differentiator. They handle support with a two-tier model: in-house agents at their San Francisco office and Infolink as an augmented layer. This video is their testimonial for Infolink. The August Home team explains why: Infolink can scale fast when new products launch, ramp up for holiday season, and pull back when demand drops — because their agents are already trained and ready. The numbers back it up: 93% customer satisfaction rate on Infolink-handled interactions. They started the relationship with fewer than 10 agents and grew to a large team. What this video demonstrates for brand video production is that a client who shows up on camera with a specific number — 93%, fewer than 10 agents, holiday season ramp-up — is more persuasive than one who uses phrases like "really great team." The details do the work.

How do you produce a B2B testimonial video that drives vendor selection?

Get the client on camera with specific numbers and a before/after structure. A vendor testimonial that says 'they're really great to work with' doesn't move a buyer. One that says 'we started with fewer than 10 agents and they scaled to a large team, and we're at 93% customer satisfaction' gives a prospect something to compare against their own situation. The production goal is to find those specific claims in the interview and build the edit around them — not around the warmest things the client said.

What makes a customer testimonial video convincing for B2B buyers?

Specificity and relevance. Specificity means named details — numbers, timelines, named challenges — not general praise. Relevance means the client's situation resembles the prospect's: same industry, similar scale, similar problem. An August Home testimonial about customer support scalability is most convincing to other consumer electronics or IoT companies facing the same growth challenge. A general endorsement from an unrelated industry is much weaker, even if the client sounds enthusiastic.

How do you film a client testimonial video with multiple speakers?

Give each speaker a distinct role in the story. Multi-speaker testimonials get confusing when everyone covers the same ground. The cleaner approach is to assign each person a part of the narrative: one person establishes the challenge, another explains the decision, another addresses the outcome. In the August Home video, different team members cover different angles — the competitive pressure, the support model, the scalability, the results. That creates a layered argument without repetition.

How should a company use client testimonial videos in their marketing?

Pair them with the brand or company overview video they're meant to support. A testimonial without context — especially for a B2B service company — lands harder when the viewer has already seen the company's own explanation of what they do. The sequencing matters: brand overview at awareness, testimonial at evaluation. On a website, the testimonial belongs on a services or case study page, not the homepage. On social, shorter clips cut from the full testimonial work better than the full version.
