When I first got my prosthetic device from my first prostheticist, it was really ugly. I felt like it really showed the fact that I was an amputee and I was a person suffering from the loss of a limb.

The first time I walked outside with my first fearing, which was the Lasette, the first reaction I got was a complete stranger, just stopped in his tracks, and very quickly was like, "is that a brace? Is it jewelry?"

He had no idea what it was and I felt so cool. I felt like I was in cognito, like I was some superhero who was really, you know, about break out the superhero costume. It felt so great.

3D printing has opened the doors to personalization of medical devices on a mass scale. Today, we can create devices unique to each person's clinical needs and personal desires.

UNYQ is applying this technology to prosthetics and orthotics to provide personalization for amputees and people who rely on orthotic devices.

Our first product line is a complete set of covers for upper and lower limb amputees.
